Employers that care about their employees' well-being may want to incorporate mental well-being initiatives into their corporate wellness programs. However, doing so does not come without legal and ethical risk. In this webinar, attendees will explore some of the ways employers might want to tackle mental well-being in the workplace and how each approach may present legal or ethical risk. Attendees will also learn best practices to mitigate those risks. Approaches that will be discussed include mental well-being apps, coaching, and psychedelic therapy.

Learning Objectives:

  • List some mental well-being strategies to incorporate into employee wellness programs.
  • Explain the legal and ethical risks of using mental well-being approaches versus mental health approaches.
  • Describe applicable data privacy and security laws, federal- versus state-controlled substances laws, state scope of practice laws, and FDA oversight of wellness versus medical devices.
