Evidence-Based Methods for Sustainable Behavior Change

Course

Course, CWP, HRCI, NCHEC, SHRM

Course Description

Change is inevitable—but creating lasting, meaningful behavior change requires more than good intentions. It demands strategy, insight, and the ability to influence human behavior. This self-paced course offers a practical, research-backed approach to driving sustainable transformation for individuals, organizations, and communities.

Drawing from over a decade of research by Virtuositeam and grounded in its BRATLAB behavior change framework, the content explores the science of influence across four critical Contexts of Change: Spaces, the Self, Systems, and Social. This holistic framework empowers participants to identify leverage points for change and activate transformation at every level of engagement.

The course prepares wellness professionals and champions to more effectively:

  • Influence behavior in everyday interactions.
  • Design environments that promote well-being and reduce resistance.
  • Lead culture change and manage transitions effectively.
  • Drive sustainable, positive outcomes within individuals, teams, and organizations.

Become a powerful Change Agent as you discover how and why people reliably change—and how to apply that knowledge to foster healthier habits, boost engagement, and shape high-performing, supportive environments.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the core principles of influence and explain how they manifest in everyday interactions.
  • Analyze the ways in which influence can support healthy behavior change or reinforce unhelpful patterns.
  • Apply evidence-based tools and techniques to facilitate meaningful and sustainable behavior change.
  • Assess your current role and potential impact as a catalyst for positive change within your professional and personal networks.
  • Design strategies to increase engagement and foster well-being in individuals, organizations, and communities.
